Carey Lowell is an American actress. She first began her career in the entertainment industry as a model, after having been discovered by the FORD modeling agency. She soon found herself walking the runway in various fashion shows and events, and posed for clients such as designers Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren.

After modeling, Carey Lowell pursued a career this time in acting. She first appeared in the movie "Dangerously Close" in 1986, and this was followed by "Club Paradise" also on the same year. Throughout the 1980s, she has starred in movies such as "Down Twisted" (1987) and "Me and Him" (1989).

Carey Lowell had her breakout role when she was cast as a Bond girl for the James Bond flick "Licence to Kill" in 1989, where she worked opposite Timothy Dalton. Not long after, she made appearances on more films such as "The Guardian" and "Road to Ruin." She soon had substantial roles in romantic film projects such as "Sleepless in Seattle," "Love Affair," and "Leaving Las Vegas."

In 1996, Carey Lowell starred in the TV movie "Duke of Groove." She followed this up with "Fierce Creatures," "Big Apple," and another TV movie, "More Than Meets the Eye: The Joan Brock Story" in 2003.

Carey Lowell became known in television after starring as Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross in the law drama "Law & Order" from 1996 to 2001. In 2005 she reprised her role this time in "Law & Order: Trial by Jury."

She also had a recurring role in the series "Six Degrees" from 2006 to 2007.
